In early 2008, a team of University of Pennsylvania students created Givology (www.givology.org), a P2P community with a mission of improving access and quality of education in the developing world through small-scale donations to community-driven projects and student scholarships. Givology is an Internet online giving marketplace that empowers individual donors to connect with students and communities in need of education support. By leveraging the Internet to support education grants and projects, Givology creates a global community of people connected through their belief in the power of education.
Givology now has branches in the US, UK, Costa Rica, and China. In order to promote the idea of “Give to lean, lean to give”, and raise the awareness of education development in impoverished regions, we are establishing the core team of Givology PKU chapter.
Givology is a place where you can develop you understanding of the status quo of education in China; you can experience the international working environment, with peer partner in US and all over the world; you can devote your imagination and passion to the joined forces to tackle with poverty we both face; you can witness how Givology PKU chapter, as the leading chapter in China, grow up to make a real difference for those people in need.

We are now recruiting undergraduates on PKU campus to be part of an inspiring team. We have exciting opportunities in the following functions: Marketing, Public relations, Research & Field working, Technology support.
***Executive team***
Roles and Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate the daily work of PKU chapter.
Organize recruitment and conduct HR functions.
Attend the online meetings with Givology headquarter.
Providing short-term and long-term developing proposals.
Skills needed:
Experience in operating students’ communities.
Strong interest in the operation of this organization.
Ready to take on responsibilities and work under pressures.
***Marketing***
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate projects and campus activities.
Promotion and publicity.
Raise funds.
Skills needed:
Excellent competence in project running.
Outstanding communication skills.
Ready to take on responsibilities and work with pressures and deadline.
***Public relation***
Roles and Responsibilities:
Keep in daily contact with headquarter of Givology.
Co-ordinate with international partners on certain projects.
Translate documents and related materials
Skills needed:
Proficiency in English both reading & writing;
Good communication skills.
***Research***
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead efforts for academic researches on topics relevant.
Perform field work and out campus activities.
Conduct campus lectures.
Skills needed:
Strong writing and reading skills.
Excellent Communication skills.
Interest in academic research.
***Technology support***
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support the operation of website.
Provide basic support of technology.
Skills needed:
Skilled in network maintenance and computer operations.
* Since Givology PKU Chapter is working on international basis, we hope the candidates for the positions above have excellent English skills. Meanwhile, we provide a good environment for members to enhance their language abilities as well as their communicative skills.
