Affade Dossi Gerardine is originally from Sedje-Denous, in the district of Ze. She is 15 and is an 8th grader at CEG of Sedje Denou. She lost her dad in a car wreck in 2011. Since then, her mom has been taking care of her. This hasn't been an easy task as she is now raising four kids of her own. She is a farmer and makes less than a dollar per day. It is hard for her to come up up with the money needed for school fees and supplies. They live in a precarious apartment, and can barely afford two meals per day.
