Letter 1 from Liset Aurora: April 2010

Below is the first of several letters from Liset Aurora. She addressed her updates to the individual donors who messaged her on the Givology website.

Hello Theresa:

I received your letter and I liked it very much. It is very nice to know about you. I only have two hens, the bigger one is called Margarita and the other one is called Caqui. I named them like that because I thought those names were curious and funny. My female dog’s name is Katy. She is a very playful dog but she is old. She is 3 and has not yet had doggies. I had a cat but he died few days ago. His name was Tony. His hair was gray with block spots. He died of a heart attack. He was one year old.

As I told you in my previous letter I want to become a veterinarian so when my cat died I was very sad. I want to establish a foundation where I can give shelter to animals that live on the street and to find families that can feed them and take care of them with much love.

I am doing well at school. I am in sixth grade. Thank you for what you have done for me. My family also thanks you for that. Greetings to your family! May God bless you and keep you with love and peace.

Thank you Theresa!

Sincerely,

Liset Aurora
