Givology Binghamton Chapter Update

Well, hello there everyone!
I hope school has started off great for you and that your clubs are thriving! I am proud to say that Givology at Binghamton University is turning into the club that it always should have been. That's right, the students are finally seeing how amazing we are, probably because of me since I am that awesome. Modesty aside, our first meeting had over 60 kids! That is a pretty big jump from the 10 we had last year, so we are really thrilled over here.
This month has been crazy for our club. We had our first bake sale this month, which we actually dedicated it to the Eliminate Foundation, which focuses on providing vaccinations for Maternal Neonatal Tetanus to mothers and children all over the world. We figured since we are so focused on helping students get educations, why not help children live? We raised $200 for this cause and we can't wait to raise even more for Givology!
Just a week later, these beautiful Bearcats got their arts & crafts on and participated in the Letter Writing Campaign. Each member handpicked a student through Givology and we are actually going to create a pen-pal relationship with the students. So, we will be sending holiday cards and just random ones to the student we chose! It is going to be amazing to see us hopefully develop a relationship with these students!
Recently, we made our highly anticipated (it really isn't, but let's pretend that it is) International Day of the Girl video. You will see all of the lovely ladies of our e-board tell you what education means to them. Education for all, especially girls, is so vital in this world and for there to be a day in which everyone is aware of that, it is such an amazing thing. Anyways, I hope you all participate in spreading this awareness in some form and can't wait to update you next time!
