When did you become involved with Givology and why? What do you do for Givology?
I became involved with Givology December of my senior year because I was really interested in how a 100% volunteer run operation was making such an impact. I knew I wanted to work in nonprofit in the future so I wanted to get a better look at how such organizations operate. I work on the social media team for Givology.

How has working with Givology shaped what you want to do in the future?
Since working with Givology I have become increasingly interested in working in the field to increase the educational opportunities available to children. I really believe increasing educational opportunities is the most important step in strengthening communities and helping to improve an individual's future.
How do you think your chosen major will help you impact your community and the global community?
I am very interested in the power of sports to both increase the opportunities available to children and in keeping students engaged in school. I hope to combine this interest with my interest in ways to best increase educational opportunities available to all children. I think what I have learned about sports advertising, event marketing, and the role of sports in our culture will allow me to bring new ideas to an organization that works to improve education.

What is the greatest lesson you've learned from working with Givology that you will carry with you in the future?
As an international, 100% non-profit operation we get to work with a lot of different people from different places, in different stages in life, and who have different jobs. This means a lot of unique ideas come to the table. Working with Givology I have really learned about the power of collaboration in fully developing ideas. One Givologist brings an idea to the table and we all work together to add ideas and create fully developed campaigns and projects. In working in non-profit organizations I will be able to use this lesson to help stretch small budgets to the fullest to create the biggest impact.
