Student: Laura Vanessa
Laura Vanessa is a 14-year-old girl from El Cocuy, a small town in Colombia. She lives with her mother, father and younger sister and brother.
Her father works as a truck driver, and most of his income goes toward paying the education fees for his children. Her mother currently does not work, as the town they live in is very small and the jobs available are already taken.
Laura Vanessa's favorite class is computers and she enjoys teaching other children what she knows. She aspires to go to college and become either a bilingual secretary or a computer engineer.
