Lu is a 19-year-old young woman from Gansu, China. Her mother is a farmer and her father is deceased. As Lu is one of five daughters, her mother struggles to provide for the entire family's education.

Lu aspires to attend a prestigious university. She is only $155 away from having her education fully funded for the school year.
