• Featured Project: Supplies for Naura Students

The EfforTZ Foundation is a small charity working to improve the quality of education in Tanzania. By providing money for scholarships and school supplies, EfforTZ strives to improve the overall learning environment for impoverished, abandoned, and orphaned children. Since 2011, EfforTZ has been helping support hundreds of students attending four different primary schools in Arusha, Tanzania. Currently, EfforTZ is working on a project to transport school supplies to students at the Naura Primary School. • Featured Project: Educate Congolese Kids Born of Rape (Kiliba Sucki)

It’s officially one more day until International Women’s Day! The UN’s 2014 theme is “equality for women is progress for all.” Women’s empowerment is a truly incredible catalyst for social and economic development. One of our partner organizations, AMCAV, is working on a fundraising project to help fifty disadvantaged children (most of whom were born of rape) afford an education at the Elimu Bora Complex in South Kivu. Currently, we need $950 to cover tuition costs, school supplies, and transportation for these students! In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), violence against women is a tremendous and ongoing problem. The DRC has been infamously labeled as th...
• Featured Student: Serah

Flying Kites, one of our partner organizations based in Kenya, aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for orphaned, abused, abandoned, and disadvantaged children. By running a children's center and a primary school in the Kinangop community, Flying Kites hopes to offer a high-quality and holistic education for each of their students. Serah is one of the young children that Flying Kites currently supports. We just need $242 more to defray the cost of Serah's tuition and other school supplies! What is her background? Serah is a kind and hardworking student at the Flying Kites Leadership Academy, where many children were born into absolute poverty and are unable to live with their families. Like most of her fellow classmates, Serah has no family members who can help pay for her education. Despite her difficult and impoverished background, Serah has a positive disposition an...
