Profile

Cambodia is a country of sixteen million people. There are over 200 thousand sex workers, of which, one third are children. The child sex trade is an abysmal social issue. The children who fall into the trade are in hellish conditions.

At Phnom Penh, there is a Pleroma Home for Girls (PHG) and the Pleroma School for Girls. The organization provides shelter to sexually abused girls or girls at risk of sexual abuse, aged 9-17. The vision of Pleroma Home for Girls is to create a safe haven for girls and to provide holistic care. Often times, the girls are sent to PHG by government agencies. Educational opportunities for these girls from poor families are critical to enabling them to move upward with quality education.

With the support of Givology, Peach is committed to providing scholarships to these girls. Each girl will receive $300 USD per year toward their education. Peach will also provide free-interest loans for study in colleges.
