Didier is a 9th grader at C.E.G. Gbeto. He has 1 brother and 4 sisters. Their father has died, but they live with their mother, who is a merchant. It is difficult for his mother to earn enough to provide for her children's academic expenses. However, Didier has high hopes and dreams, and is quite involved with his community. He would like to become a police officer, and is both a leader and team-player. He manages a local tontine group, which is a savings group to which members contribute money and then take turns receiving the collected funds as a way for the community to help one another. He also likes to play the African drums and sings in a local choir.
