Day 17 Student: Sonam Shahbaz

Sonam Shahbaz is eight years old and lives with her mother and six sisters in a rented house in the red light area of Lahore, Pakistan. Sonam’s mother is a sex worker and earns a livelihood for the family through prostitution. Sonam herself is being pressured by her family to become a prostitute in order to help out with family expenses.
