Rene is an 11th-grader. He is fatherless and lives with his tutor and 3 siblings. He speaks French and his tribal language Aizo, and has a tribal mark (scar) on each cheek. In the future he would like to become a teacher. His tutor is a motorcycle taxi driver, but is unable to support Rene for his academic needs.
