Hi, my name is XuCai. I am a 10th grader at LiJiang High School. The educational conditions of my new school are not as good as those in my middle school, but I will do my best, and achieve better grades. Right now, I am 13th in my class. Because my school is a boarding school, I only go home every half-semester, and I often miss my parents, who both must work hard to support my education. To go home takes a 3.3 hour long drive, as well as an additional hour of walking.

My parents are both farmers; my father has a middle school education, and my mother's education is elementary-level.

Financially, there hasn't been much change in my family over the years. Last year, because weeds weren't removed in time, our family's medicinal materials were contaminated; in the end, we had limited amounts of some herbs, decaying piles of others. To help with financial and electricity deficiencies, we have applied to the government for solar panels.
