Uncles & Aunties:

Hello! On this sunny spring day, you’re like a strand of golden sunshine shining into my world. I feel lucky and surprised at your help because I don’t think that I’m that great. I’m so moved in my heart. It’s hard to express how grateful I’m for your concerns for me.

We just finished a Proficiency Test which was organized by the province at the end of March. Since I chose science subjects in my sophomore year, I was worried about my history and geography before the test. I find that a person’s memory may fail as he/she grows up. That’s one of the reasons why I chose science subjects instead of liberal arts. More importantly, I’m really interested in things like deductive inference. Perhaps the subject matter that I’m learning right now is still very shallow, but I still feel very content while studying it. Fortunately, the Proficiency Test only tested on basic knowledge, so I felt pretty good after it. After the test, my study comes to an intense and ordered period. I need to work on studying for the College Entrance Examination intently. I understand that the purpose of national educational reform is always to improve the educational system. But I feel very busy and annoyed sometimes when I have to study every single subject in order to prepare for the test. However, maybe an intense and busy life has positive effects. I hope that I can learn to adapt to every kind of environment and keep my morale up. I hope I’ll move forward actively and lively both in my study and in my life. I’ll meet tomorrow’s challenges with abundant courage.

There was a sports competition in our school last week. It was the last time for me to participate in a high school sports competition. Though I think I'm pretty fit, I’m not very talented in sports. On the first day, I got the last place in the 200-meter trial match. But my classmates gave me lots of inspiration and I thought that I had to persist no matter what. During the 400-meter trial match on the second day, though I couldn’t run very fast near the end or get any amazing record, I didn’t get last place. There’s nothing for me to be proud of, but I still feel satisfied in my mind. Participating in team activities can really affect our attitudes. And it makes us to know and think more about life.

My parents began another busy year when the New Year came. They work very hard for this family. I feel sad and moved every time thinking of their lonely figures during work. But they never say a word, never submit to fate, and never shrink back or escape. They may not achieve any great achievements, but their fighting spirit is something worthy of being emulated. We all have lots of lofty ideals. However, the most important thing is to face life courageously. I will go forward and try hard without giving up.

Finally, I really want to say thank you to you all. Thank you. ? I’m sorry that I don’t have a transcript because we don’t have tests recently.?

Wishing you all good luck!
