Thirteen Facts about Skip, Peru
At Givology we see education as an integral part of a thriving community and is a basic human right that we see all children are entitled to. Education levels for children are often are hindered by their family's inability to pay school fees, and even their local education systems, despite its key role in their ability to break the poverty cycle. Skip not only works on an economic and education support to aid the families it works with, but also emotional well being, and creating healthy and safe home environments, in a holistic approach to family development. Featured Project: Let's Go for Geometry
[url=http://www.givology.org/~aaohope/]Arlington Academy of Hope[/url], aims to develop Ugandan communities into self-sustaining and vibrant societies through education and healthcare, particularly working with children. They achieve this by establishing clinics and developing educational models. Their latest project, [url=http://www.givology.org/~let/]Let's Go for Geometry[/url], is trying to raise funds for school supplies, and needs just $390 more! WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT? Often the lack of adequate school facilities and supplies holds back educational quality. In Uganda this particularly applies to primary school students who struggle when it comes to their end of primary school exams. Let's Go for Geometry wants to raise funds to get Chalk Board Geometry Sets to use to improve the teaching of mathematics, which often proves to be the most challenging section for students. Featured Project: Shoes for School
[url=http://www.givology.org/~ufoundation/]The Umbrella Foundation[/url] was founded in 2005 in a response to the children trafficking and illegal orphanages in Nepal. The NGO’s aim is to rescue these children from trafficking and those in situations that are susceptible to such, and in integrate them back into their families and their community, whilst giving them an education to help them and their families get back on their feet.
